Faranani Life Health Solutions is part of the Life Healthcare and as such has access to resources and best practices which are being utilized to ensure that the services rendered are of the highest quality and standard. The involvement of the Life Nkanyisa management team who have extensive operational experience of managing a full spectrum of services within a capitated environment has continued to add substantial value as the team has provided experts in Quality, Nursing, Pharmacy, Clinical Directorate, Human Resources and Operational systems to the onsite management team; and have ensured that best practices and quality processes are in place to ensure that the inmates of Mangaung receive quality healthcare which is in line with the best practices in South Africa.

The relationship between Faranani Life Health Solutions and G4S is an outsourced service between G4S and Life which aims to provide primary healthcare services for the inmates entrusted to G4S, whose specialty is mainly security. Internationally, G4S is known to specialize in prison management and security, including institutions for juveniles, electronic tagging, and escorting/transportation of prisoners. The Public Private Partnership was the first of its kind in South Africa and G4S is proud to be a part of the consortium responsible for the design, construction, and financing of the project. G4S signed a 25-year contract to operate the facility as sub-contractor to the consortium.

Mangaung is the second largest private prison in the world and opened in 2001. The purpose-built prison ensures that even though facilities are extensive and provide a range of opportunities for inmates to learn and develop new skills, security is tight and controlled at all times. The facility prides itself on providing safe and secure accommodation to nearly 3 000 maximum security inmates.
